Our Architect Megan Leicht taught a special hands-on workshop with the ICAA Northern California Chapter, exploring the artistry and technical skill behind architectural watercolor rendering.
Megan Leicht leads students through the fundamentals of architectural watercolor rendering at the ICAA Northern California workshop
We're thrilled to share that our own Architect, Megan Leicht, taught a special class with the ICAA Northern California Chapter. This hands-on workshop offered a rare opportunity to explore the artistry behind architectural watercolor rendering—a practice that blends technical skill with creative expression.
Participants learned the foundations of hand-drafted elevations and the essential techniques that bring them to life through watercolor washes. Megan guided students through color mixing, layering, and the subtle ways architectural form interacts with light and shadow. These skills are not only fundamental to traditional architectural training, but they also deepen one's understanding of how buildings breathe and transform under changing conditions.
With limited spots available, this class offered an intimate learning environment where students could refine their craft and reconnect with the timeless beauty of hand drawing. Whether an emerging professional or a seasoned architect looking to expand rendering skills, this workshop inspired and elevated design practice.
This event has now ended.
